Ambitious Women of Color is heading out for our first weekend getaway! Join us for a relaxing weekend of connection, good company, and relaxation with our main event taking place on Saturday, October 24, at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Temescal Valley.
Whether you're joining us for the full weekend or just the spa day, we'd love to have you.
We'll spend Saturday, October 24, at Glen Ivy from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. We'll meet outside the entrance at 9:15 AM for introductions before heading in together. If you're running late, I'll have my phone available until 10:30 AM to help you find the group. After that, I'll only be checking messages periodically.
A day pass without any treatments or experiences is $105. Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own admission directly through Glen Ivy. Day passes do sell out (approximately 100 remained as of September 28), so early booking is encouraged. If general admission sells out, booking a spa service will still provide access to the grounds. For first-time visitors, I recommend calling them at 888-453-6489 to book. They do a great job explaining the admission options, services, and what to expect.
FYI: A darker-colored bathing suit is recommended if you plan to enjoy the complimentary mud treatment. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but dining and drinks are available for purchase on-site. Spa services, meals, and other purchases are additional unless included in your selected package.
For those wanting to make a weekend of it, I've booked a room at the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Corona, 3989 Bedford Canyon Rd, Corona, CA 92883, which currently has some of the more reasonable rates in the area. They offer complimentary breakfast, and there's a Starbucks nearby. You're welcome to stay there, book another hotel, or simply drive in for Saturday's festivities.
Depending on group interest, we'll also coordinate optional dinners on Friday, October 23, at 7:30 PM and Saturday, October 24, at 7:00 PM. Restaurants will be selected and reservations made once we have a better idea of attendance. Everyone will cover their own meal, and if you don't use Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App, please bring cash to make splitting the bill easier.
Once you've purchased your Glen Ivy admission, please complete the RSVP Google Form no later than Wednesday, October 21. Only confirmed attendees who complete the form will receive an invitation to our private Partiful group, where we'll coordinate carpooling, dinner plans, weekend activities, and any last-minute updates. Transportation is not provided, but attendees are welcome to arrange carpools with one another.
